Jesa Sweet Tooth's Bio

My name is Leshada Jesa Lee, owner of Jesa Sweet Tooth. I started my company in 2016, and slowly but surely my company has grown and flourished. All my products are peanut-free and tree-nut free. I specialize in gourmet cookies and specialty cupcakes; gluten free and vegan options are available as well.
I was born with a severe peanut allergy and experienced many food restrictions throughout my life. However, I have always had a strong love for food and for creating food. My love for food motivated me to learn and master many dishes and desserts. I have always been determined to try to recreate my favorite foods because a lot of the time I could not simply go out and buy it, since most foods were deemed unsafe for someone with food allergies like myself.

My love for baking and cooking grew and manifested into a great talent of mine as I became older. I spent many nights cooking dinner for the family or catering parties for friends. However, I had been baking since I was 3 years old. For as long as I can remember I have been baking alongside my grandmother. When I was as young as 3 years old I used to help crack the walnuts for my grandmother’s famous Jamaican carrot cake-thus finding out I was allergic to nuts! The family and I laugh about it all the time now, but my eyes would puff up larger than the walnuts and they would become beet red! But I still wanted to stay right beside my grandmother as she finished up the cake. Of course, soon after I had a couple of allergic reactions, my grandmother got rid of all nut recipes, and I moved on to measuring the ingredients and much more.
